Rubric Help Pls - Hot & Cold

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

Hi Colleagues - I am very grateful for all your inputs so far. This one of
the most beautiful aspects of Minutus and may it long continue.

This is a young lady 15 yrs old.

She has alternating body temp variations, the symptoms I gave are physical
and real.

So when it is warm she may feel cold and the other way around.

She also experiences flushes of heat. For example her mum was reporting that
a couple of nights back (which was not particularly warm in UK) she was in
her bed wearing pyjama tops and shorts in bed with a blanket on her legs and
she was saying she felt warm (Not hot) but there were beads of sweat on her
face and forehead.
This lasted some 10-15 minutes and the she was OK

She is normally pale looking, however, her mum said that during this episode
she looked normal colour.

Her presenting symptoms were a diagnosis of ME. She had been prescribed
Prozac (which we have now weaned her off).

Hi Soroush,

Perhaps
GENERALITIES; HEAT; flushes of
GENERALITIES; HEAT; flushes of; girls, in young (pitu-a only)
GENERALITIES; HEAT; flushes of; perspiration; with

crossed with
GENERALITIES; HEAT; vital, lack of
?

Remind me what ME stands for? Are the alternating(?) flushes and chilliness
part of that picture, or peculiar to her?

Weaned off Prozac - how long has this been for - this temperature problem
could be related to this. Have you felt her body/skin during one of these
episodes, is it all the time alternating, all day, all night, all over the
body or single parts? How extreme is this as there are so many weather
conditions in the country at this time of the year that 10 people in a room
will all feel so different which makes 'feeling warm when others are cold'
etc not that unusual. How is this situation troubling her?

Best, Joy

reg these esp may help.

Thanks for the greater details, Soroush. I agree with Dave and Joy that more info on modalities, etc... might help. Meanwhile, there is this rubric that might serve as a starting point:
GENERALS - HEAT - flushes of - alternating with - chills
