And if you add Delusion under superhuman control you could arrive at
Lachesis or Naja (both having affinity to female repro system) and then
there is Delusion is under a powerful influence - lachesis is also there.
Cimicifuga, which is also in the rubric suggested by Rosemary, is very much
encaged and has affinity to female sx.

Also in the 'superhuman' rubric is cereus, which you will also find in
Delusion, weighed down by incubus. This is a cactus which brings me round to
another rx cactus grandiflorus (lots of feelings of being encaged in the
cactus family, especially wire which is sharp and spiky like barbed wire -
these are the cactus spikes), and although one often thinks of cactus as
being a heart remedy it has some very important female sx and..... it is in
the rubric which Rosemary suggested initially - delusion, encaged in wires.

Joan,

This doesn't correspond to a specific rubric, but it might correspond to a
"vital sensation," as Sankaran puts it. Are you familiar with his method?
Check out his book "An Insight into Plants" for examples. He follows what
appears to be the vital sensation (bound, constricted, tied in the case of
your patient) to see if it pervades the case. If it does, the sensation
leads you to a particular family of plants, and the miasm determines the
specific remedy.

question

account of having a baby to look after"

All delusions are strange. It is possible that you could combine the 2 you
have written about and say that she is involved with activities against her
will - this always makes one think about Sepia amongst other remedies -
undertakes things opposed to the will + contradiction of will.

It is never really enough to use just delusions, even though they are so
rich with information, sometimes almost too much, you have to make sure the
physical sx pertain to the whole case as well.

For example Cimic will have a fair amount of rheumatic type states -
Aristolochia is all about being oppressed and isolated, a lot of hormonal
imbalance, very weepy and worn out (a bit like Sepia).
