Undiagnosised Porphria

Post by Ellen Madono »

Dear Cathrine,

You said: Porphyria tends to be under-diagnosed because people can be
relatively
asymptomatic for some time. It usually takes years for physicians to
diagnose porphyria. There are certain drugs that can be deadly to people
with porphyria.

As a homeopath, were you able to work with porphyria?

Respectfully,
Ellen Madono

Ellen,
You are asking the wrong person.
I HAVE porphyria and I also am an expert in the treating of same with
Homeopathics.
I have not had an attack for YEARS because of how I treat myself and other
porphyrics.
Porphyrics have to be treated in an entirely different way than normal
people, and if anyone tells you differently, they are lying.
She is just repeating information she got off the internet.

Hi Alva,

What do you find needs to be done differently for porphyrics, and where did
you learn to manage it?

Hello Shannon,
Porphyria is adult onset.
I always had some problems, but my illness did not come to fore until 1990.
I would swell up instantly (I thought) for no reason, I would be constantly
be getting terrible (or so I thought) urinary infections, filling the pot
with blood, I would have bowel movements that would fill the pot with blood.
I kept on going to gyns, urologists, colon doctors, only to be told there
was nothing wrong with me, yes there is blood there, but they didn't know
where it was coming from and good luck, good bye. :(
The abuse I received from doctors, included calling other doctors in to
thump on my ascetic distended abdomen and asking if the watermelon was ripe
yet.
I finally found a doctor who I went to after I had an episode of dropping
instantly to the floor when I heard some bad news, and I had to crawl to the
bathroom because all of a sudden I could not walk anymore.
He had a suspicion, and tested me for porphyria.
Yes, I had it, and all my kinfolks on my mother's side had it as well.
My cousin died "from MS" that was misdiagnosed Porphyria, after being loaded
up with Porphyria unsafe drugs.
I already had my degrees almost finished, but had not felt the need to
finish.
You can read all about me on my bio.
I was told I could never take any prescription drugs again and to prepare
myself and my family for m y death.
I then learned homeopathy in order to live, I finished all my degrees as
quickly as I could, and I have been able to be completely asymptomatic for
years now.
I still get sick, but not from porphyria.
There are no pat remedies per se' for porphyria except for Sulphon in an
acute attack 30C one single dose.
The rest is liver support, and staying away from drugs, and triggers, and
out of the sun, away from stress.
If you would like to have all about Porphrya and the safe/unsafe drug list
for prospective clients, I will be most happy to send.
In an attack, if you treat a porphyric with normal remedies, following the
symptoms, when the porphyrins finally go away, you will be left with a
proving client in the worst way.
I will repeat.
Treating a porphyric like a normal person with symptomatic remedies WILL DO
HARM.
You have a normal person one minute, and a person in an attack in another.
TWO separate people are there.
One very sick, one perfectly normal.
No, this is not a rubric of "split personality" it is because the porphyrins
are nt there one minute, and then in an attack they are there big time.
I will be happy to help anoone on this list with their porphyric clients for
free if needed.
I would charge for my hair analysis tho.
If SOMEONE out there would potentize the enzymes we porphyrics lack, then
there would be no more porphyria.

Hi Alva,

Thankyou so much for sharing your experience with this! I am not asking
with any patient in mind, but rather because (a) I keep files "in case of
need"; who knows, maybe someday I will have a patient with porphyria! and
(b) I am always fascinated to understand more about the ins and outs of how
different situations must/can be handled; sort of about "the exception
proves the rule", I guess.

A few more questions below:

Do you treat yourself ongoingly with the liver remedies (the group you
mentioned before?) or did you get rid of it? (I'd assume the former?)
How did you arrive at that? I assume you mean sulphonalum, which I find
briefly sketched in Boericke but had never heard of.?
I would appreciate getting that, for my "just in case" file!
Are you saying that initially the remedies would appear to "work" and
symptoms would abate, but *then* violent proving symptoms would come on?
Does that apply only to an attack specifically related to porphyria, or does
it apply also to e.g. treating a true acute or trauma in a porphyric? But
that would not explain why you describe it as "two separate people"...
Thanks!
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
You are welcome.

The former.
Yes Sulphonal.
It is the only remedy that has a proving of pink to purple porphyrgenic
urine.

Yes.
does
In an attack.
BUT, if it is a trauma, stress, emotional or physical, broken bones, etc.,
there will also be a release of porphyrins, and the remedy can come back and
bite.

But> that would not explain why you describe it as "two separate people"...

Of course it would, because here you have a perfectly healthy individual one
minute, and 1-5 minutes after he/she is exposed to a trigger (Including sex
hormones) you have a person which has a body flooded with free radicals.
Porphyrins are the worst free radicals because they also burn wherever they
are produced, at 425 degrees producing 3rd degree burns even internally on a
molecular level.
Porphyrins are THE newest cancer treatment.
healthy people are injected with porphyrins, then expposed to light for long
periods.
The porphyrins accumulate wherever the patient is the weakest, i.e., their
cancerous tissue, and it burns the cancer up.
Make the patient as sick as we porphyrics are for a little while, but their
bodies have the enzymes that can catch up with those and eliminate them.
Here is how Porphyrins burn:
Some Symptoms of a Porphyric attack are:
Body swelling (angeoedema)
Abdominal swelling
Transient weight gain (completely goes away when the attack subsides)
can be as much as 100 pounds.
Hives
Pericarditis, Endocarditic, Mycarditis
Abdominal pain
Nausea and Vomiting
Rash
Lesions on the skin, which start as little blisters, then develop into an
ulceration
Gall stones, and gall bladder diseases
Internal and external 3rd degree burns.
Hydrocephalous
Peripheral Neuropathy
Body drop, a sudden loss of muscle tone where a Porphyric will just drop
onto the floor from a standing position without any warning.
Foot drop
Red or purple Urine
Orange or red feces
Fluorescent Urine, Feces, Blood, Sweat, Saliva and Semen.

Porphyrins are photosensitive. When they are exposed to light, they self
emolate (burn).
They congregate where the body is the weakest.

This is how the new Porphyrin Cancer Treatment works.
Porphyrins are injected into a normal person with cancer. Where the cancer
is,
the body is the weakest. Then that person is exposed to light.

The light triggers the porphyrins to self emolate, and since they are
saturating the cancerous cells, the cancerous cells burn too.

Porphyrins can congregate ANYWHERE, nerves, brain, organs, muscle, skin,
anywhere the patient is weakest.
Porphyrins are digested by certain enzymes, which are abundant in normal
people.

Porphyrins are the by products of cell death, muscle and blood cells.
They are Hyperproduced by someone with Porphyria, in addition to not being
able to eliminate them like a normal person does.

Intravenous replacement of the lacking enzymes, Heme, is given, or
Intravenous Glucose,or eating things loaded with Sugar, is the generally
accepted treatment for an attack.

It pushes the 3rd chain fatty acids out of the liver, replacing the
porphyrins, and aborts the attack.

Taking the Fatty acids themselves, skips this step and is a better, quicker
alternative.
Also, Porphyrics are deficient in the amino acid: L-Cysteine.
Replacement therapy of this enzyme and supplemental minerals to replace
those
that have been used up by the PPIX/Oxygen combustive process, are necessary
as well.

How Porphyrins Burn:
*All Porphyrics are walking around with 20 times too much protoporphyrin IX
(PpIX) which is harmless enough.
PpIX likes to soak up light and gets very excited.
When this happens,it turns around and passes off its excess energy exciting
the nearest O2 molecules.
O2 likes to burn things and an excited O2 molecule is absolute trouble.
[As an aside, recently procedures to induce an Porphyric
condition have been used to treat cancer since cancerous cells like to
accumulate PpIX.
With a little "harmless" light exposure the cancer cell is blown away while
healthy cells are unaffected.]
The excited O2 molecule burns up the first cell tissue it comes in contact
with at a temperature of just over 425 degrees F.
Note, each PpIX molecule can do this over a thousand times a second, and
since Porphyrics have about a trillion of these molecules in every square
millimeter of skin, and tissue, or when a Porphyric is exposed to light it is
internally damaging and very painful.
ANY light.
Sun, Incandescent, Fluorescent.
Porphyrins are super produced when a Porphyric is exposed to a "trigger",
which includes and especially Stress.

A very interesting piece, thank you. However, one of Shannon's questions
remains unanswered: where did you learn all this? Please share, it would be
valuable.
Thank you,
Grace

Dear Alva,

Thank-you for all your information on Porhria.

I am still unclear as to how remedies can be used and how they are also
dangerous. If I could identify a porhria patient, I would hope not to be
giving them remedies and to refer them to you. But, I want to be able to
clarify the problem so that I can understand it better. Also, what symptoms
should send off fireworks that this might be a porhria genetic patient?

Respectfully,

Ellen Madono

Hi,
Your detailed postings on this make an interesting
reading.
You may find in the rep, yellow stool turning green on
standing : arg-n and rheum are mentioned. Do they
signify any thing to the topic under discussion.
Thanks in advance,
V.T.Yekkirala.

Hi, VT,
No, the stools appear normal, but fluoresce under black light.
