hypertension
Dear Dr Bhatti
I consider myself to be a beginner in Homoeopathy but regarding giving
Lachesis 200 giving in repeated dosed i would not dare it as according to
Boerick if well indicated should not be repeated frequently and as a snake
remedy i would use it very cautiously

Re: hypertension
Dear Brother Fawad,
Assalam,
I am a practicing consulting homoeopath in India, having BHMS from
reputed Indian University. Visit my website at
http://motivator.8k.com.
Since last ten years I am trying to get information that somebody
died of homoeopathic medicines may it be Lach. or Naja Tr., Nux V. or
any.
Even before that since beginning of homoeopathy nobody died of
Homoepathic medicines. If you can prove that somebody died of
homoeopathic medicines kindly let me know I have many Homoeopath
friends who will honour you.
Your fear is misplaced. Atleast none of my patients died or suffered
because of reptition of doses in necessary cases. In some two doses
may suffice in some others it might need more doses.

Re: hypertension
What is anyone's opinion on Lyc being a good remedy for hypertension
especially when totality of symptoms plays a big part?
Lyc is not a big remedy for hypertension. I'm constantly reading and
searching...
Anyone have any ideas?
I surely would appreciate it.
thanks, Emily

Re: hypertension
Emily-
When totality demands it the indicated remedy will cure any named
disease, not just hypertension. Remedy provings were never pushed to
the extent of creating actual pathology. So all pathological indicators
we have are cured symptoms / conditions ( some toxicological) and not
thru provings. That means the remedy was selected by using the
sensations, locality, modalities and concomitants and then later on was
found to have cured such named diseases. If the indicated remedy has
cured the named disease also in the past that is an extra confirmation -
that is all. So do not go by the therapeutic record of cured diseases
for selecting a remedy.
I once treated a woman with hypertension, which caused headache. The
woman was complaining that the headache is so nagging that she would
like to remove the top of her head... Her hypertension responded to
Theridion. ( sensation as if - Head she would like to remove the
vertex ) She also had < noise when she traveled in a bus - this
confirmed Theridion).
I have never come across Theridion for hypertension anywhere.
Go ahead give Lycopodium and wait...

Re: hypertension
All remedies which do not let themselves go ; who try to control, are good remedies for hypertension. I believe u can put Lyc in this category.

Re: hypertension
Yes you're right.
Thanks for the reaffirming.
She also has High Cholesterol which is a "Lyc" but I thought about
adding Crataegus. Using LM's is new to me so
Where could I put the Crataegus MT in with that?
I would normally tell them to put 5 drops in water and drink but I
don't want to interfere with the LM's.
Any thoughts
thanks, Emily

Re: hypertension
Giving MT as 5-6 drops three times a day in water should help both cholesterol and HBP. IMHO it doesn't interfere but I don't do LM's. However I know others may differ with me. BTW I use herbal tinctures rather than MT as they are so much cheaper. Theresa Partington has written a wonderful article on the use of MT against HT which is the current edition on the ARH's journal.

Re: hypertension
You will have to ask Theresa - she is on this list and will see your
request. I presume there will be a copywrite to the journal for a few months
at least and sorry I haven't got a scanner!!

Mother tincture taken at a different time from the LM dose should not
interfere with the latter, although it always is a good idea to observe
carefully after the first dose or two before continuing to see what the
individual's response is.
