Dear all
Following on from the bristle incident, does anyone have experience of using
silicea in order to expel an IUD? Patient is desperate to avoid surgical
interference- again!
Thanks and regards
Eleana

Hi Eleana,
Are there any symptoms from the (implanted?) IUD, and/or can you find a
remedy for her overall state? I think this would be the more reliable way
of expelling it.

Re: Silicea and foreign bodies
Hi Shannon
No particular symptoms - just heavier periods which are a byproduct of an
IUD (it is the non-hormone variety). She is in no particular "state"
either. Just wants the IUD out and because she did not relish the
experience when it was "implanted" she was wondering if silicea could expel
it so she doesn't have to go back to the surgery and be fiddled with... She
is a patient who has done a homoeopathy first aid course and learned that
silicea can expel things from the body!

Re: Silicea and foreign bodies
By "remedy for her overall state", I simply meant can you find a good, solid
"constitutional" or "chronic" remedy for her? I have been told that this is
likely to be the most efficient expeller of whatever needs to be expelled.
I was told that a big part of the reason that silica has gained this
reputation as "expeller" is simply that someone wiht a silica-type weakness
will have (among other difficulties) a problem with getting rid of things
that ought to be expelled; so for them, silica addresses the
"constitutional" (aka "overall" or "chronic") layer, and spurs the body to
do what it would normally do all on its own, anyway. I was told that if
another remedy is more indicated than silica for the individual patient,
then that remedy is likely to be more efficient at bringing about the needed
expulsion. (So I suppose that would apply to an IUD also??)
But whatever you do try, I hope you'll let us know the result! I can surely
understand why she'd rathe do it homeopathically than surgically!
Best wishes,
Shannon
