Greetings,
After a 15 mo. struggle trying to figure out what has caused my dog to itch
since 4 mo. of age, I think I have been able to determine he is severely
allergic to a single flea bite. Regardless of what I tried in the past to rid fleas
(e.g. Advantage, Frontline, raw diet, garlic, apple cider vinegar, food grade
diatomaceous earth, incessant vacuuming, etc.), I cannot help the single flea
from biting my dog. I live in Los Angeles.
I began consulting with a homeopathic Vet about 4 months ago. So far, the 4
remedies used have failed (there was alleviation of the itchiness but, within
days or weeks, it returned).
The epiphany I had today regarding the fact I think my dog has a severe
allergy to fleas was communicated to the homeopath today (I have not had a response
from him yet). I'm curious to know if any of you have had flea allergic
animals in the past and have success using homepathy to bring about a cure?
Thank you very much for any testimonials.
Sincerely,
Julene Stelmak
Los Angeles, CA

Re: Flea Allergy Dermatitis and homeopathy
yes, i have. years ago i used sulphur, 200c for one female cat and all my female cats healed.
but later on, doing more constitutional work, i used nat m for a cat going through grief. many of
her symptom healed, including her 12 yr old flea allergy.
since it was only my female cats that had bad reactions to fleas, i suspected hormonal responses
to have been 'fixed.'
but i would look to the constitutional, rather than the acute in treatment
