Bovista - Sharing a Case

A female patient of mine, about 50 years in age, recently developed a skin allergy to washing up liquid/detergent.

Even wearing gloves did not help her. The allergy developed into Eczema of the hands and fingers. It did not ooze but did bleed as it dried up.

I prescribed Bovista 30 once daily. Improvement in two weeks has amazed even myself - looking at over 60% reduction.
Bovista is an excellent remedy indeed.
Also, I would like to suggest that if we can each share a cured case daily between ourselves it may assist us all in learning more? Just an idea....

But to make it a learning experience I'd suggest they be not *too* brief --
e.g. can we say just what it was that led to the prescription? Personally I
also find them much more interesting when the follow-up is somewhat
long-term, as it's much easier to find a remedy that will work in the short
run, than to find one that works in the long run (which usually means that
it has worked deeply)! I find prescriptions that work "for a while" to be
really frustrating...

No, I surely didn't mean to exclude acutes!!!
And, altho for the most part long-term follow-up isn't an issue for an acute
case, I think would be especially neat to hear about some of those special
cases, e.g. where what looked like an acute prescription ended up having
profound and lasting benefit for the patient; or where what looked like a
successful acute prescription wound up being apparently suppressive, and
what solution was figured out instead; or any situation where the result of
the first prescription was *either* gratifying, *or* unexpected. All of
those I find useful for learning.

But on constitutional cases I don't find them of much interest at all
*unless* I know there was long-term follow-up and that the *long-term*
result was very good. I think this is too often overlooked. I maybe have a
bit of a bug on the subject because of my experiences with a prescriber
being "certain" that a remedy was right, but it wasn't!

Also my request re long-term follow-up with reference to the bovista case,
which wasn't really acute...
