Ref: Mitral Stenosis

Post by Dr.Partha Chakraborty in »

Dear All,
Wanted to know about anybody's experiences about Mitral Stenosis. This boy has been diagnosed as having Mitral stenosis and resultant LA enlargement and pulmonary hypertension. Haven't seen the case but his brother, a patient of mine, was discussing the complaints - breathlessness, edema especially in the legs, easy exhaustion (all pathological and common) etc. A discussion among the list members about the feasibility of undertaking the case will be appreciated.
Best,
Dr.Partha Chakraborty.

May I offer this info from Parimal Banerji's clinical experience (Calcutta)
He suggests for mitral stenosis Aconite 200 E2D or Lachesis 200 if the case is congenital

Dear Dr. Partha Chakraborty,

I have similar situation with use of Phen-fen, and was diagnosed with moderate mitral valve damage, and enlargement of the left side of heart ... but the symptoms you refer to, I've had for a while.
The remedies that have brought relief are:
Adonis vern. & Strophantus hispidus

When REALLY needing oxygenation, I've taken Carbo Veg., with incredable results.

Hope this is helpful.

Re feasibility, I've read so many times of cases where one might have
thought nothing could be done, and yet the remedies were able to help. I
don't know anything about this condition, but assume that even if the
stenosis can't be cured, it should still be possible to help the boy's
symptoms a great deal. But maybe best to let the family know of any
uncertainty???

Hi Partha Chakraborty,

these symptoms are consistent with use of aspartame (artificial
sweetner)
-please be sure the person is not using anything of this nature before
proceeding otherwise.
