Helpline??? was: Diabetes and complications.

Post by Joy Lucas »

My own feelings about this is that any 'case' that comes to us without the
respectful and 'normal' inclusion of the senders real name is largely to be
ignored. People who hide behind concocted identities or collective ones may
or may not be serious, but it would be so much more mature and professional
to give real names. Those who don't should be ignored - if it is really
important they will return.

Regards, Joy

Hi Joy,

I think you're absolutely right. But I guess what's kept me poking at these
things is the worry that harm is being done by them, and wondering whether
at least some can be stopped. It's a big and dirty world out there, always
has been, hence the importance of "buyer beware". But I hate to see the
name of homeopathy maliciously smeared...

But, I guess it's time to stop complaining.
Argh...

shannon,

as a general in life, if we are dealing with a person who is acting crazy in some fashion,
we learn to walk away from them if we cant defuse them. we cant control what others do
or who they are. we can protect ourselves by continuing to act professionally and not get sucked
into their behavior. if we are dealing with an organized effort, then we need to organize a response
and fight back--as so many of us do with the political situation now. this person, has received
our communities responses and knows that no one will diagnose or treat over throught this
e-mail list. right now, if this person is still tuned in, they are seeing how much attention they
were able to generate. i would suggest that we cease giving any more of our time to a situation
that has been well explored
