Dear Colleagues
As you know remedies which are not soluble in water/alcohol are triturated
with lactose in a proportion of 1 part substance (eg gold) and 99 parts
lactose. [This gives 1C but is not used normally]
After the third tritration, (3C) the resulting material is dissolved into
water and the remaining potencies are made up as per normal.
Has any one heard of the properties of material which have been triturated 4
times? eg 4th Tritration potencies??

The main source of the information I've gotten on fourth trituration
potencies has been Alize Timmerman, from the Netherlands. Apparently,
triturating a substance up to 4C makes the remedy address higher spiritual
dilemmas, issues, and awareness -- leading to a deep change of consciousness
(i.e., I suspect, appearing to act in a way similar to psychotropic drugs).
I think that all 4C potencies up till now have been triturated communally by
groups of homeopaths rather than being manufactured and sold by pharmacies.
That would probably affect to a great degree how remedies derived from these
triturated substances might act. Since the formularies for remedies
manufactured and sold in the different countries specify the way in which
the remedies are prepared, manufacturing remedies from 4C trituations would
go against the rules in effect.
Because the homeopaths who have participated in the triturating process are
also those reporting on the effects of the 4C remedies they have produced, I
don't know how objective the reports are. The act of triturating a
substance as part of a group has its own unique effects, certainly on the
participants, and apparently as well on the remedy.
