Post by dinis54 »

Hi
Can anybody help me?
I need help with rubrics for the following symptoms:

Back paroxysmal pain in spine in lower back (Lumbar region) After
big anger or discussion with somebody, or after sudden reception of
bad news, when a sensation of fear or if fright sudden comes.
The patient feels a kind of fear and can't bear the pain in their
spine and lower back.
Needs to search for immediate protection for their back putting
their hands on it and lying down in a draw tight position for about
5 or 10 minutes.
The patient is 53 years old and had Poliomyelitis when he was 8
years old. Has received electrical shocks.
can't hear from right side (has only 20% or less of audition
capacity in right ear and just to low frequencies) since he had the
polio's disease. now has intermittent buzzing on that ear.
Can't bear the heat of the bed on the lower legs, (covers the full
body while sticks feet outside bed)other times moves legs from place
to place to find a cold place under the clothes.
Also had Hepatitis A at more than 20 years ago.
Father and grand-father died with stroke.

Thank you very much for all help.

Dinis, searched for paroxysmal, electric, anger, and by happenstance came up with coloc, which has this under BACK. The person wants to get on hands and knees, not dissimilar to on back with knees drawn up (see ==== below)

Dinis,
Just took another look at the case. In a situation with hot feet out of the bed and searching for cold spots, also desiring knee-chest position, Medorrhinum comes to mind. Here are some references to Medorrhinum back pain:

tyler:
Agonizing pain solar plexus. He applied right hand to stomach and left to lumbar region.

article-med advance
We find spasms of the sterno-mastoid muscle fixing the chin firmly to the chest, [did the prover mean spasm or contraction?] The pain straight through from left to right shoulder has been frequently verified. There is great soreness of the vertebrae extending the length of the spine, especially pronounced in the lumbar region; there are many and violent pains in the region of the kidneys. Many of the prominent and severe spinal lesions have been described with the cerebral.

julian
He was suffering since the age of 20 from lumbar pains followed by turbid urine.

hom recorder 1921
Case IV. Mrs. at 59, a widow, who is obliged to keep boarders for a living and works beyond her strength. For a number of years she has suffered from a neuritis of the right arm and shoulder, extending to the occiput and neck, and which one or two good homeopaths have failed to cure. it is worse from cold and dampness. But her most annoying symptom is throbbing in the lumbar spine, brought on by any emotional excitement or over exertion and becomes so severe that it "takes her breath".

You might look at Colocynthis. Herscu's cycle for the remedy sounds like your patient, and it fits the onset of the man's problems after arguments or bad news. Also check these rubrics:

MIND, ailments from bad news
MIND, ailments from fright
BACK, pain, lumbar region
GENERALS, bending double amel.

Peace,
Cinnabar

What do you think?
Thanks

Hi!

Thank you very much for your help.
Maybe it is Colocynthis but my patient doesn't have the symptom of
"Bending double amel." Instead he needs to straighten up his back and
to search the protection of some rigid place. (Better if he keeps down
on the floor or bed) but always in a straight position.
Is if he has become temporarily paraplegic of the lower extremities.
All other rubrics are good, but the last one the GENERALS, bending
double amel. doesn't apply to this case.

The pain is a very intense pain which inhibits the person to do any
thing. He says he feels a kind of big weakness and as if he is an
invalid person.
May it be a kind of epileptic attack due to the sudden fright?
And about the symptom of "Can't bear the heat of the bed on the lower
legs and feet"?

I just found 3 rubrics pointing to this symptom in Colocynthis:
Extremities, pain, lower limbs, warmth of bed (agg.) (p. 1066)
Extremities, pain, lower limbs, night (p. 1063)
Extremities, heat, lower limbs, night, on waking (p. 1012)

He really didn't talk about feeling that heat and pain when sleeping...

Colocynthis also don't have "Mind, ailments from bad news" but it has:

Mind, anger, ailments after anger, vexation, etc. (p. 2)
Mind, anger, ailments after anger, with indignation (p. 2)
Mind, anger, ailments after anger, with silent grief (p. 2)

Please let me know if you have any other idea about it or other remedy
covering the symptom of extreme weakness Is if he becomes temporarily
paraplegic of the lower extremities due to sudden and extreme
irritability and fright or fear.

Thank you very much.

Mind, Fright, Ailments
Mind, News, Bad ailments from
Mind, Sensitive
Liver, Hepatitis
Generals, Electric shock, ailments from

Murphys Rep

These are the main rubrics, the to this case is "SENSITIVITY"
There are two remedies that come through, differentiate them both and
decide which one is needed NOW
