Has anyone had success with someone who is already on dialysis? Feel free
to e-mail me privately at jereisch@fuse.net .

I have a dear friend who has had kidney failure for some time. The doctors
said he was likely only a couple of months from dialysis or kidney
transplant.
Homeopathy had not helped him. Then he went to a medical doctor who uses
unconventional medicine. He gave him a potenized preparation of prunus
spinoza from the school of Rudolph Steiner's anthrosophical medicine. He has
been taking injections of this over his kidneys for several months now and
has almost retuned to normal in his energy level and is returning to work
after being on disability. He can now spend a day working in the garden where
before he could barely put out an hour for any physical activity for the day.

The down side is that his kidney function tests are still not normal and we
can only guess how long this will sustain him.

Dr. Sahni's web site has an interesting case review of cure of kidney failure
in a child to read.

In the July/August 1987 issue of HOMEOPATHY TODAY, there is a summary of
proceedings of LIGA meeting in Washington. This summary was written by Dr.
Richard Moskowitz, MD, DHt. under the heading "The Scientific Sessions". I
quote from that summary:

"Dr. Diwan Harish Chand of New Delhi, official physician to the Prime
Minister of India, presented three hospital cases, two of them on dialysis
with chronic renal failure.

The first case was one of intestinal obstruction in a 33 year-old man. At
the time of hospitalization he had been vomitting for 2 days without passing
any stool or flatus, and also without urinating. X-rays showed multiple
distended bowel loops. PLUMBUM MET. 200 was given every 2-4 hours, largely
on pathological grounds. The patient passed flatus within two hours and then
several large bowel movements soon after. About three days later he relapsed
somewhat, and the dose was repeated. He has continued well since (about 3
years). This case reminded me of some of the classic articles by Harvey
Farrington on that favourite subject of homeopaths, "Cases Saved from the
Surgeon's Knife."

The next case was that of a man of 50 who developed renal failure in the
case of flu-like symptoms, and had been on dialysis for 6 months. The
principal symptom was nausea at the sight of garbage. ARSENICUM ALBUM was
prescribed in the following potencies: 6C, 30C, 200C, 1 dose of each on the
first day. After the next day he never needed another dialysis. After one
year his shunt was removed and he has been well since (over 6 months). He
had spent thousands of dollars on allopathic treatment until homeopathy was
given with what he described as "lifesaving" results, and at a minimal cost.
Someday, insurance companies will be the ones to make homeopathy's case.

The final case was that of a 54 year-old man with chronic renal failure,
nephrotic syndrome, and encephalopathy. OPIUM 30 was given every 4-6 hours
for 16 doses. With 2 days he was fully conscious, and within a week he felt
"100 times better." He has remained well for over 2 years, and has required
no further dialysis. Dr. Chand's results were obtained with the single
remedy in medium potency and infrequent dose, i.e. with nothing fancy, just
skill."
