Funny toenail question

What might it mean when the second toe nail, meaning the one next to the big toe, has upturned sides and a depressed center, like a chute running off the end of the toe.

The closest thing I seen to mentioned is spooning, but that does not seem to match what I am seeing here.

Anyone know?
