Question: If the young birds are considered healthy, why is Oscillo considered a Nosode (diseased)?
Answer:
Oscillococcinum is listed as a nosode in Julian “Treatise of dynamized micro-immunotherapy” .
Sarcodes usually treat the similar organ. Oscillococcinum is not indicated for heart or liver disorders, but for flu-like symptoms.
Birds can be healthy carriers of RNA viruses.

Re: [EXTERNAL] Oscillo Contact Form [#509]
The reason Oscillo works is that the ducks have successfully “processed” , through their hearts and livers, those influenza-type viruses (i.e. the ducks are still alive and able to reproduce even though they live in rather murky ponds).
This is typical of all nosodes, which are most often made from the sputum or other body discharges of patients whose Vital Force (immune system) has successfully mounted a defense against the “morbific agent”.
Back to Oscillo: I have seen many times in the last 30 + years where taking Oscillo in a timely manner (before or at prodrome) actually speeds up the influenza process. You can “fast-forward” through all the phases of a 5 to 7 day flu in about 36 hours – but it will kick your butt. The good thing about speed is that fever ‘costs’ your body a lot of energy. If you shorten the duration of the illness (naturally), you haven’t depleted your long-term energy bank and you can usually recover more quickly.
