The U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s (FDA) latest attack on consumer rights is designed to make it more difficult to legally obtain homeopathic remedies.

Our friends at the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH) report that the FDA recently issued a revised draft guidance declaring that all homeopathic drugs are being marketed illegally.

Why go after homeopathic treatments? According to ANH, the FDA’s motivation appears to be driven more by the agency’s desire to protect Big Pharma’s profits, than out of concern for the public.

TAKE ACTION: Tell the FDA to protect consumers’ right to homeopathic remedies

In short, the FDA seeks to make our homeopathic remedies “new drugs” — and make them jump through the same regulatory hoops as a newly invented pharmaceutical. In other words, manufacturers would have to file a New Drug Application for each remedy, an expensive process that would bankrupt them as remedies are not patentable (nor are they expensive).

There is concern within the homeopathic community over products being falsely labeled as “homeopathic,” even when they’re not, to capitalize on the popularity of homeopathy. The FDA’s proposed guidance doesn’t address this. It’s also become clear that the FDA would like to yank some remedies from the marketplace — like Belladonna, Lachesis, and Nux vomica — because their sources are poisonous. They are unwilling or unable to comprehend that the process of serial dilution and succussion removes any toxicity.

I suggest you do both. This is such egregious over-reach that we need to make a stink about it! The FDA is proposing to hobble or even kill homeopathy in the U.S. at a time when antibiotic resistance is burgeoning because this same agency refuses to curb the use of antibiotics in livestock production!

That's exactly what is so troublesome with the 'powers that be' concerning censorship and removal of people's rights! I thank everybody who raises awareness and works on preserving these rights.

It's sad: Proposing new regulations for homeopathy, but leaving repeatedly proven global toxins on the shelves/air/water/food (glyphosate, fluoride etc) and not demanding proper development and testing for the big Vs.
