I agree Shannon. If anyone knows of another group (that is email based vs facebook), that is well moderated and focused on professional homeopathic practice and study, please share! I keep reading these minutus emails for the occasional pearls of homeopathic wisdom, but the majority of the posts are more troubling than helpful.

Re: Show of hands?
Hi,
I have been listening to The lectures of Ian Watson recently and I’m getting a good challenge to my very narrow classical Homeopathy practice. I am finding that just believing that organ remedies, drainage remedies, detox remedies (ODD) are a good idea, doesn’t actually lead me to prescribe them very often. I find myself concentrating on constitutional prescribing only and then get very stuck. Just doesn’t happen every time, but it happened with people who I’ve been working with for a long time and we get just can’t finish up. After listening to the lectures of lan Watson, I have been learning the background to other methods. Having a broader perspective, is very helpful in getting out of my rut of single remedies given only one at a time.
I opened that discussion up with Dr. Roz and got back a very curt reply that he doesn’t want to be bothered with such questions. Since I see him as one of the authorities on Minutes, and especially an authority on the use of multiple perspectives in prescribing, this was a very disappointing reply.
I suspect that the fact is in the past whenever we talk about something that is not exactly what is taught in the schools of Homeopathy, we get into an angry argument about orthodoxy. Instead of thinking of what works for us as individuals, we get something close to a political or religious war discussion. It’s very unpleasant and not productive. For that reason, Dr. Roz doesn’t even want to broach the subject. I'm just guessing so I really am not entitled to speak for him. But this is my experience.
I see this as one of the limits of Minutos and it’s very disappointing.

Oh boy!
Where and how on earth did you come to that conclusion????? That I do not want to be "bothered" with your questions? A "curt" answer?
I clearly mentioned that I had no idea what you were talking about...so maybe instead of considering this as me snubbing you or your question, you might reformulate or rephrase it in a manner that I do understand.
And my answer was also very clear: you were asking about methodology, if I got that right; to which I repeated my "mantra" that my only methodology is that I do not have any, that I follow the patient and try to give what he specifically needs at that precise time for his precise situation, uncovering level of pathology after level of pathology. In other words, I fit the treatment to the patient and do not try to fit the patient into the narrower concept of one single way of therapy.
What is not clear and simple with that??????????????????????

Re: Show of hands?
Hi Dr. Roz,
That’s fine for you and I accept your answer. Sorry to be getting under your skin.
Ian Watson says the same thing, but listening to him, I am finding that there’s a lot behind that perspective that deserves careful consideration. He says he is too Mercurial to be pigeonholed in one methodology.
But each methodology has its background, strong and weak points and a way of fitting in with other methodologies. I have found this discussion to be very useful. It’s not a discussion to pigeonhole homeopaths. Rather it’s a discussion to make the necessary decisions in selecting methodology. Nothing is absolute. Everything is based on the individuality of the patient. But the homeopath also has a practice in limitations to energy and time. So that’s part of the consideration.
I think the less self defensive stance might service us all better. You are not being personally attacked, although I acknowledge that’s how it feels to you. I am sorry about that. Please accept my apologies.
Sincerely,
Ellen Madono

So, again, what is your question?
