Advice sought re homeopathic software
Hello!
I’m currently using RADAR10 on an old Windows7 operating system and debating whether to upgrade to RADAROPUS or MacRep. Any feedback or advice anyone can offer to help me make this decision would be greatly appreciated.

What are your specific questions or concerns? When my Lenovo died a few months ago, I was faced with a similar choice: should I go to Windows 10 (my old system was XP) or switch platforms to a Mac? Either way, I knew I’d have to upgrade my repertorization software.
The choice was not that hard. Having seen it in action on my husband’s computer, I consider Windows 10 an abomination designed to induce ADD in all of us. Our local computer tech guy strongly recommended switching to Mac as a “superior machine,” and I have not been disappointed. It’s a much more elegant and flexible interface than Windows. I thought the learning curve would be high; it isn’t (though there are still some things I need to learn how to do).
The one thing I miss is some of the capabilities of Word, which the Mac word processor lacks (such as the ability to print labels). I do like the ease and speed with which the Mac handles homeopathic software.
FWIW, I used to run both Radar and MacRep on my PC, but I upgraded only the MacRep (and RefWorks). I find MacRep gives me better search results. I also like that I was able to configure it to Mangialavori’s settings, which tend to bring up obscure remedies.
Peace,
Dale

Well I love Miccant’s Vision (previously ISIS but they have changed the name for obvious reasons). I have just been testing the Complete ’18 and it is great. If you go to Miccant.com you can see all about it.

Hi Dale,
You can buy Word for Mac. I don’t like it as well (at least on my Mac) as the Mac’s Pages program, but sometimes it’s useful for interfacing, and wow I didn’t realize it couldn’t do labels!

Re: Advice sought re homeopathic software
It's possible to run a virtual operating system on your newer computer in addition to whatever it's running. I have a program called Virtual Box Oracle and am able to run an older edition of RADAR software. It works well.

I'm sure the new Radar software is great but for folks who can't afford an upgrade or are happy with their current software this is a decent solution.

So may I ask... the Mac Rep is about $3399.00 for professional version. and the Visionary is $5099.00. American dollars.
When you buy these version's is it for a life time?
Which edition do you all buy?
I have many repertory books I have been using, I have been thinking about getting a computer version
Thank you for any and all input

I want to thank everyone who replied to my query re the homeopathic software. Your responses have helped me to know how to proceed from here. Much appreciated!

You ought to be able to get a discount if you’re a student. Typically, students buy a less comprehensive version of either program and upgrade as they go along. Wish a single purchase would last a lifetime, but it doesn’t. Computer systems change and often won’t run older programs, so you’re forced to upgrade.
