Parkinsons and Butter

Post by Carol Orr »

Joel Fuhrman…nutrionist…I overheard him say, "a stick of butter a day
keeps parkinsons away" . I think he has a web site where you can ask about
this. Personally, I eat a LOT of butter everyday and have for years. I put it
in crepes, cook eggs in it, put it on vegetables and just about everything
else. Good organic grass fed butter. I think he is against olive oil as he
says it adulterates so quickly. I buy small expensive bottles and never leave
the top off and keep in dark place. Take swigs of that or mix with butter when
cooking. If I don't put a little olive oil in pan when cooking something…
the butter sticks to pan..but not when I use olive oil…I figure if the
butter heated makes the egg stick to pan…it might be sticking to me.

Makes good sense. The brain is at least 65% fat and needs high quality fats for brain health.

The butter should be from grass fed cows and the milk raw for making the butter.

Coconut oil is probably much better and more easily available as raw and organic. In various

studies and case experiences it is showing some good results in reversing alzheimers and would

probably work well for Parkinson's, too.

Hmmm? Not familiar with the d'adamo diet and genotypes.

But you know your own body best.

Is this a genotype that is from a particular group of people; ie. from a region

where coconuts are not native?
