A surprise: Eggs & Cholesterol

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

Dear All
Please see this article.
http://www.medicalcollective.com/whats_ ... r_you.html
Dr Andrew Rochford carried out a test on himself – measuring his blood cholestrol level before (3.88) and after the experiment.

He then ate 3 eggs a day for 3 week.
When he retested, his cholestrol level was LOW. The machine used could only give a reading of LOW!
No need for Statins!!
Regards

Soroush

Hello Soroush

Interesting !

I am not surprised by these results. Although from a different time period wherein eggs were not polluted with hormones, antibiotics etc, my great grandfather, a simple farmer who was widowed at an early age apparently made diet from eggs. Not that I would recommend it, but I was told that he would eat up to 18 eggs a day. I am not sure how much that did or didn't contributed to his health. To my knowledge he never experienced any cardiac problems and passed away at 96 years young.

Perhaps the saying should be "An EGG or 2 a Day keeps the Doctor Away" 8>D

Wow, nice!

I read of a study, many years back, where patients with "borderline high cholesterol” were divided into three groups, where one was given the standard cholesterol diet; another group told to eat as they had been; and the third, told to eat as they preferred, but just add in ten eggs each day. At the end of the time (I forget how long) the ten-egg group had done the best, and their cholesterol levels had normalized.

Yes eggs have cholesterol; but they also, in the yolks have *more* than enough lecithin so that the cholesterol is fully utilized, *and* there is enough lecithin left over, to help utilize some amount of “extra’ cholesterol.

Why is it a surprise that saturated fats are healthy?
Oh, yes, because about 50 yrs ago it was decided that transfats were not healthy and without any study, saturated fats
were lumped into this diagnosis. Can only imagine the role of the sugar lobby in pushing this concept thru the propaganda mill.

Absolutely!!!!!!!

And just to celebrate such good information, have you read about Wisconson which has gone
after another Amish farmer who ships his unwashed, organically raised chicken eggs. The
article in Health Impact News described this situation as one in which people are being limited
to only being able to buy CAFO produced eggs from chickens fed GMO Soy, etc.

Wow, no I hadn’t.
I do remember two cases maybe five years ago where two “cow share” farms (people paid to own a “share” of a cow and her milk, to gain the legal right to drink it raw) were shut down, cows had to be sold, the farms put out of business. People should be jailed over these happenings—and of course I do not mean the farmers nor their customers!!!!!

They terrorized a raw milk farmer in Missouri?? a few years back and it was caught on video.
SWAT teams in full military gear with every uniformed person in town, including the post office worker
invaded this small farm with heavy artillary aimed at the farmer in overalls and his wife in her work clothes.
They stole about $30,000.00 of milk including what was in their personal refrigerator.

This is pure terrorism, govt sponsored. It has nothing to do with safety. It is all about terrorizing the public to
subordinate them/us. This has been ongoing against small farmers all over the country and health food stores
typically in small areas where the money isn't there to wage a major legal battle.

I am seeing more and more of this kind of tactic used against breast feeding mothers, parents who refuse vaccines,
or toxic treatment of their children. The cases are piling up. I am waiting/hoping that some legal organization will take on
this terrorism as a large class action issue. Would love to see the people in the health movement come together to
spear head a concerted action to inform the public of what is going on.
