Hi All,

You may be aware of a petition in response to the proposal by Danny Chambers to have a ban imposed on the use of homeopathy in veterinary practice. If you feel able to sign the petition, here is the link https://www.change.org/p/british-veteri ... r-our-pets, and it would be great if you can share it with anyone else who might be interested. If you have already received a request to sign, apologies for the duplication.

A bit of background; Danny Chambers first launched his campaign in the early spring, and somehow he managed to get new traction by appearing on the Victoria Derbyshire show a couple of days ago. The coverage was yet another example of the overt bias shown by a supposedly revered institution, the BBC. If you have not yet seen the clip, here it is http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-36748693 . Note the length of air time devoted to Danny Chambers’ long winded waffle, and how both the horse owner and Geoff Johnson were immediately cut short when they started to talk about the effectiveness of homeopathy. I hope that more circumspect viewers will pick up on the imbalance, and realise they have just been subjected to very sloppy reporting. No doubt the ‘ban’ story will rumble along for some time to come, so it would be great if the counter petition really gained some significant numbers.

Thanks.

BW Karin
