Re: Speaking of LMs and animals...
Okay, two questions on which I would love to plumb the experience of this list.
One — I know there are people here who use LMs with cats and dogs. I’m curious how you do that dosing? With people we give a roughly tsp. sized dose, but how do you do that with animals? Or do you just put out a dish of it, and let them take the size-of-dose they feel moved to?
And second — is there anyone here that’s used LMs on large farm animals? That too — curious just *how* one would, but also why, if there’s anyone here who’s switched from 4th ed. method to 6th with large animals?
Thanks,
Shannon

Speaking of LMs and animals...
I used a dropper bottle. Would lift the side of my cat's lip and squirt a few drops into the mouth and close the lip and hold it so they didn't
spit or shake it out. I have read people who just put it in the water trough of large farm animals or into the water dish or food of smaller pets.
It all seems to work.

Thanks Tanya —
Did you do this as a daily dose, or observing changes in behavior, or single dosing?
And have you made comparison between dosing them with Cs (given in the same ways) vs. LMs?

I fill a 5 cc syringe, then I squirt it over the dog's lips ad gums. Five cc's are equivalent to 1 teaspoon.

Really cannot recall. Had many cats, several at one time. Did use dry dose and repeated it as
seemed needed. Did repeats on water doses, too. Can only say "in each individual case."
This is probably heresy to say, but what I have seen is that homeopathy is, generally, not as
specific as we may think. There seems to be wiggle room in how we do things like dosing.

Shannon, there is a specific way to do this as elucidated by Hahnemann.

I dose my dogs in a bit of cream, which they readily lap up. I use water doses in anywhere from 30c, 200c, the occasional 1M or 10M for certain traumatic situations, and plenty of LMs.
Dosing is like any other patient - watch and wait, and repeat when appropriate.

I just dunk the animals nose in the water and they lick it off.

LOL, if you train the dog he/she will just lap it up in the spoon. All I need to do to get my dogs to take their dose is, “Ok… here’s your dose.” They come running for the good medicine.
