When we enter a complete word to search in the forum, it locates it. That is good. It will be too good if an incomplete word is also searched as google does. Example, it searches for pneumonia correctly but shows no results for pneumon. The last word is incomplete.
It is possible that someone can forget spelling or omits any letter in between or somewhere of the letter, some relevant results should also be shown.
Is not this a valid wish?

If you click on the "cog-wheel" icon on the right of the search bar, that takes you to the "
Advanced Search" where it is also explained how search works.
Search for keywords:
Place + in front of a word which must be found and - in front of a word which must not be found. Put a list of words separated by | into brackets if only one of the words must be found. Use * as a wildcard for partial matches.
Search for author:
Use * as a wildcard for partial matches.

In your example, to search for a partial word, just add the * - e.g. instead of searching for pneumon - search for pneumon* instead.
The system searches for the exact characters you input and your browser should underscore the word with a red wavy line if it is misspelled.
