Welcome to The Minutus Forum

Welcome to the Minutus Forum

The Minutus group started out on YahooGroups back in June 2000 and has been actively discussing classical homeopathy since then. Yahoo decided to delete their archives in December 2019 and we have been working hard since then to restore the group's archives and members into one place since then. After a brief time on groups.io without their archives and with a small group of members, it was decided to rebuild the entire group on this forum system.

On April 10, 2020 - we were finally able to open this forum that contains the complete Minutus archives up until April 7, 2020 and all known members have been automatically added as members of this forum. In fact, it was the plight of the Minutus group that provided the imputace to start the entire https://forums.group platform and it is therefore only right that their group is the very first to be here.

Although this is a new platform, it is based on a very tried and tested open source forum software: phpBB. It is well known for its reliability and security and is easy enough to use, even for beginners - the perfect platform for those used to the simplicity of YahooGroups.

If you are looking for your existing file archives, you will find them here. Use the attachment feature to add new files to your posts.

Your entire YahooGroup archives can be found in the Minutus forum. You can browse the old posts and even reply to them as you please. New posts should be posted in the most relevant sections below - finally a chance to better sort your messages.

IMPORTANT POSTING INFO:
It is a forum, NOT a mailing list. It is designed around reading the posts online. A daily digest, that includes the posts of the day, will be sent out via the YahooGroup. One email a day instead of each individual message as it is posted. The YahooGroup was previously just the opposite, every post was sent out individually and there was no digest any more.

You can however individually subscribe to any topic that interests you and new posts to that topic will be sent to you via email, directly. Just remember that replying to those emails via email will not work. The forum does not have a mechanism to receive emails and add them to posts. You have to write your answers or new posts on the forum. This is the biggest difference to using a mailing list like this one. You can however use the app and you will not even notice this limitation as you can easily write replies in the app that do get posted on the forum.

You will find that it makes a lot more sense to view the list of topics on the forum and selectively read the ones that interest you.
If you use the app, you can use the forum as if it were in your email account – just a different app. The forum is as accessible as your smartphone for all posts, not just today’s.

No need to read every new post anymore, just the ones that interest you.

Those of you used to using a mailing list (like YahooGroups of groups.io) are used to reading every new post as it comes in, good or bad, interesting or boring. You probably delete most of them so that your email account is not overloaded. It is always about today’s topic and the discussions from a year ago or 10 years ago are long forgotten. This leads to the same questions being asked again and again because nobody looked in the archives, but now it is much easier to do so on the forum.

A forum gives you a long list of topic titles and I suggest you get a group of people to sort them into categories. You can easily browse through the topics or search for something and view those posts again really easily and you can even respond to those older topics, again. It is then no longer about the topic of the day; you now have a vast selection of topics to look at and you can selectively read the ones that interest you.

Finally, this is a new platform and we are still optimizing things to run smoothly. If something is not working properly, please tell us in this feedback section. That gives us the chance to fix something that is not working properly or explain what has not been fully understood. We are working hard to make the forums.group platform a worthy place to continue your discussions properly, without fear of censorship or shadow banning, etc. We love free speech, but always be respectful of other members.

Regards

Peter Walker
Founder of the Forums.Group platform.
