You can use LMs in any situation. I always start with LM 1 and just adjust it as needed. Higher potency LMs can be used immediately for acute conditions, if necessary. I never attempt explain how homeopathy works on a physico-chemical level. Its enough to say that a homeopathic proving is a reproducible scientific experiment and anyone really interested in homeopathy can try it and see for themselves.
