Horizon and Quin There is an excellent article by Colin Lessell re Horizon programme. It is now on ARH website ( www.a-r-h.org) HIP January 2003. Quin was another medic sent to Paris to discredit Hahnemann, I believe. He played large part in bringing homeopathy to UK in 1850s. There is probably more...

This is more or less what I do, and it works. I have 6 weeks in my Notes but in practice extend it to the normal review time for that particular patient. ( I have 6-weekers, 8-weekers ,3-monthers and occasionals ) I also feel that it can be quite unprofessional and potentially harmful to prescribe f...

re lice midges and staph Staphisagria was used by the Arabs of old as insecticide. However it is quite toxic and therefore not readily available from herbalist suppliers. I did get some and used it on kids years ago for headlice but then thought even that was not a very good idea if they were likely...

Viruses
I too have been reveiving a host of viruses but on a homeopathy related
server/address that is not the one I use here.
An allopathic/cia/drug company plot, no doubt, but don't blame minutus!

Re: Digest Number 599

new remedies addenda!

Als, while I am perfectly happy with the concept of gelsemium being 'good
for flu' and belladonna being 'good for fevers', I too find that the idea of
a remedy being 'good for Down Syndrome people' or ' good for AIDS' takes me
a little bit out of my comfort zone!

New remedies Obviously the materia medica cannot be frozen in time. Equally apparent is that many remedies in common use by the likes of Farrington, Jahr and Burnett are hardly used at all now.Does this reflect a change in patients' requirements or in perceptions of practitioners of what needs to be...

Double Remedies This 'Timeline' was drawn up by Lois Hoffer as part of an article on Double Remedies (HIP Nov 2001) - I don't know if it furthers the debate! Hahnemann practised a long time and if he had made up his mind at the outset what the 'truth' was and never looked at any other possibilities ...

re cut and paste ( why this I can't recall!) dear all, I think I am the only representative of Frontline/LICH on this list ( apart from the odd student, perhaps!) and I must admit I assume that everyone else is as interested as I am in what homeopaths are doing and achieving in poor/traumatised/war-...
