Re: Virus sore throat and ear pain

I agree, Joy – plus sometimes when the acute symptom picture is somewhat limited and a modality from the underlying chronic situation (for example, extreme <<<< warm temperatures) continues unabated into the acute, the chronic symptoms can also help to confirm or rule out some possible remedy choice...

Re: Swine Fever Profiteering - now tautopathy

Interesting topic for discussion, tautopathy. My experience is that the effectiveness of tautopathic remedies is similar to that of nosodes – often very helpful where a clear remedy picture doesn’t exist, but not a definitely curative remedy in most instances. A couple of personal examples, which ar...

Re: Suffering from IBS

I think that failures can also be very enlightening, especially if we turn them into successes at the end, or have figured out why we failed…. Sometimes, of course, we fail and don’t have the time or the opportunity to follow the trail through to success or understanding. That might make a fascinati...

Ditto for meditation -- all the beasties gather round. :-) Rosemary "Know, O my child, that each thing in the universe is a vessel, Full to the brim with wisdom and beauty. Know, my child, that each thing is a drop from the burning river of His infinite beauty." ~Rumi as translated by Andr...

Re: treating companion animals

What would it take, I wonder, to help humans learn to tune in better energetically to remedy resonances?? I can do it for myself to some degree, but I think the furry critters, especially cats, are a whole lot better at it! Rosemary "There are only two forces in the world, the sword and the spi...

Re: weak production of symptoms

The last situation you mention is definitely a symptom and a rubric. There are a number of possible interpretations for the other weaknesses you mentioned. The weak response is possibly a manifestation of an overall weakness, in which case, one might wonder about remedies like acids or carbons, in w...

Re: Interesting remedy experience

Dear Ellen, That's an excellent question. An acute isn't necessarily quick -- it depends on the strength of the "morbific force" and the susceptibility of the individual affected. It took months for me to recover from a spine fracture, and also to recover, in a later event, from Rocky Moun...

Re: Suffering from IBS

Physiologically most gluten sensitivity uses a different immunoglobin pathway than true allergies. There's no histamine involved, as there is with allergic symptoms. So I wouldn't use a rubric that specifies "allergic" unless the person also has a strong history of true allergies. But cert...

Re: Suffering from IBS

At this point, re staying off gluten indefinitely, the answer, unfortunately, is “yes.” There is research being done on how to remedy the lacking enzyme in people with gluten intolerance so perhaps that won’t always be the answer. There is also some evidence that grains are not a health-sustaining f...

Re: Suffering from IBS

Also, for what it’s worth, a very high percentage of “IBS” cases have gluten sensitivity or some other major food sensitivity as a maintaining cause. In this case, this might be something worth investigating. As long as the maintaining cause is still active, the remedy won’t be able to work decisive...
