Re: Homeopathy patrimony of humanity
Oh, so in terms of linguisitics, we can't find a word that includes everyone instead of favouring thebprivilege of one group?
It's got to be one or the other, both inaccurate? Wow.

Re: Homeopathy patrimony of humanity
How about "legacy"? How about humanity's gift to humanity? Checking out the etymology of the word "patrimony" brings out its real meaning--patriarchy, patronising, patrimony all have the same root for a reason. And I would have to say ALL words shape the thought and thinking they...

Re: US & Canada Pharmacies that Deliver
They were bought out by Boiron and have since been phased out--also, I remember reading that Unda/Seroyal bought into Boiron as well (so it's one big monopoly now). They deliver and they're quick, but they like to control access to certain remedies, I've noticed. If you're practicing in Canada it's ...

Re: How invasive do you think....
It's pretty invasive and for a great number of patients it's very uncomfortable during and after the procedure. It's often something that ends in "complications". If there is reason to suspect something other than haemorrhoids are responsible for the blood in the stool, other more dangerou...

Re: Well here's a new one!!!!! More!!
They may be feeling fine from the anaesthetics but the physical trauma to the body's tissues and the loss of blood from that trauma needs Arnica. Just because they don't feel it yet doesn't mean it hasn't happened during surgery. Physical trauma to tissue is an accurate definition of surgery, after ...

Re: Well here's a new one!!!!! More!!
I agree that patients will often be misinformed on the use of remedies like Arnica. There are thousands of websites--quite a lot of them run by MDs and naturopaths who are trained along the conventional medical model--which promote the use of Arnica PRE-SURGERY, just like Paul's example, to their pa...

Re: Well here's a new one!!!!! More!!
I've had a number of patients undergo various surgeries over the last two or three years, they call me for the arnica/phosphorus/symphytum/bellis perennis/staphysagria type remedies that often come in handy post surgery. In this area of Southern Ontario, patients seem to go to particular hospitals f...

Re: Sensitive to odors during menses?
I wouldn't make that substitution. In women the sense of smell is weakest just before menses and often during: then it becomes heightened again during the rest of the cycle. If the sense of smell is heightened during menses that would be unusual to me. Pregnancy, in my mind, is the opposite of menst...

Re: Ernst and Singh offer prize!
Isn't this the same "Contest" prize offered by "The Amazing Randi" and his Quackbuster friends? I can't believe they still dredge this up every few years or so (or that people keep falling for it). Beware. If it is Randi or his "foundation" (and it truly sounds like it)...
