Re: was: On CNN tonight- now: what to call it?

I think this would have been called Doctrine of Signatures at that time - Hahnemann developed homeopathy AFTER this - it was taken from a manuscript which reported the HERBAL use of this remedy by indiginous peoples in Sth America. Most patients don't care - polypharmacy vs single remedy - so long as you still have a leg! In extreme cases extreme measures can be called for, this seems to be one such. Robert & Shannon Nelson wrote:On Jun 24, 2005, at 8:02 AM, Simon King wrote: OTOH it could have been a case of, "That p...

Re: Surgical adhesions

The diagnosis does not tell about the patients' experience of their symptoms. These need to be understood - and then repertorised - ie pain sensation, the inflammation, and so on. This might actually be a wound infection, despite the radiography. Remedies such as Bellis perennis, or Thiosinaminum ca...

Re: was: On CNN tonight- now: what to call it?

Potentisation is one of the key principles of homeopathy, as described by Hahnemann in the Organon. So I think there may be a difficulty with calling the prescription of crude material doses homeopathy. Finrod wrote:Dear Magda Before Hn discovered dilution and potentisation, he was using crude and m...

Re: approaching a 'time critical' problem

I have treated an acutely ill child with nephrotic syndrome - in a developing country. I gave the constitutional remedy in a 200c, but also used a repeated dose of Apis in a very much lower potency as an organ support remedy - this is the drainage technique some of the others have been discussing on...

well said Shannon, Liz Robert & Shannon Nelson wrote: Yes, sounds "personal", but I'm sad to see it turning from a discussion into an argument. I guess it's hard to avoid when people disagree on deeply held beliefs, sharing the results of their own personal, thoughtfully distilled, and...

Re: Diversity

I see this as sides of the same coin. I am the first one to uphold standards, indeed I am very critical of what I see as poor practice, but it is only my opinion - and I am open to exploring other perspectives. I certainly do not need a lecture on the beauty of Homeopathy - it is why I am a homeopat...

Diversity

Don't you think it's interesting - we can celebrate diversity in our patients - indeed it is what we build our practises on. But when we are faced with diversity in our own profession, it seems to become a whole different thing. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Sports Rekindle the Rivalries....

Re: core issues

Wowo, what a stunner! Firstly I woudl have hoped that a practitioner would be more sensitive to this patient - and giv him some careful guidance in the direction of another therapist. I do not regard telling someone to go read Louise Hay as a professional move. Sure, go read it, see wht you think - ...

Re: Aggravations.

There are some very sensitive patients who do not acutally need to physically have contact with a remedy - I have treated 2 such people - like you, they just hold the bottle, and can feel the effect as it starts to work. So you are not alone! Regards Liz Jagannath Chatterjee wrote: Well, I am a very...
