Re: Lyme disease in dogs
Tanya, it may be treated in late stages in humans because you can get some good feedback from human patients which gives you clues as to the effectiveness of the Rx prescriptions. Animals are unable to give sufficient feedback to really work a hard case like late stage Lyme that has had antibiotics....

Re: Lyme disease in dogs
Donna gave you some good advice. From my experience, Lyme shows up as an acute lameness but left untreated becomes a chronic, painful, overall “I hurt” without enough specifics. Lyme, left untreated, hides out in the tissues of the body (eventually the major organs) and mimics thousands of other dis...

Re: canine question - support of normal shedding process
Ok, I guess I am still confused about your question. If it has been determined that this is a NORMAL shedding process for this breed – what are you trying to fix? If the shedding is normal, I would think you have nothing to rep. It would seem reasonable to take the whole case and try to find some im...

Re: canine question - support of normal shedding process

Dogs can develop sensitivity to a specific protein source if they are fed the same meat continuously. Also, the addition ...

Re: lymes TB
And you believe the CDC? During the time we had dogs in Houston dying of Babesia, Erlichia, and Lyme Disease, the CDC stood adamantly by their statement that these diseases were not in Texas -- that these diseases were only in South America (Lyme only in Connecticut); that they were only in the jung...

Re: lymes TB
Lyme disease is believed to be transmitted sexually. Our guru on tick born diseases has seen Lyme transmitted via skin abrasions - more specifically, she saw cases in So Texas to have been transmitted during dressing out killed deer. I learned a lot about tick born diseases while trying to treat six...
